During the Second World War, Lieutenant William Hart (Farrell) finds himself in a German prisoner of war camp, where he is requested to put into practice his limited knowledge of the law to defend a black prisoner, Lieutenant Lincoln Scott (Howard), who has been accused of murdering a fellow prisoner.
This movie took ages to get going. When I heard it was a wartime courtroom drama, and had been watching it for nearly an hour with nary a courtroom in sight, I thought they’d got the plot wrong in the paper. Still, once it did get going it did improve, unfortunately it was a case of too little too late.
