Sebastian Caine (Bacon) tests a new formula on himself which can turn humans completely invisible, but side effects soon become evident as his damaged brain turns him from a mild mannered scientist into a maniacal killer and he begins to stalk his colleagues and his neighbours!

This is such an over the top nonsense film that it slowly draws the viewer in, wanting to know exactly what crazy antics Kevin Bacon will get up to next. Bacon has little screen time, what with him being invisible and all, but Shue and Brolin make up for this with some very interesting performances which are clearly the product of Verhoeven’s campy directorial skills.
