Director : Jonathan Lynn
Running Time : 94 mins
When Nick “Oz” Oseransky (Perry) finds out that his new neighbour is none other than Jimmy “The Tulip” Tudeski (Willis), a well known mobster, Oz’s wife Sophie (Arquette) convinces him to turn the criminal in to his mob boss for a considerable reward. She then tells Jimmy what’s happening in the hope that he’ll kill Oz so she can cash in his life insurance, and a whole series of double crosses soon start getting out of control.
This is a great little movie, with a very unfortunate and unnecessary sequel. Here we have originality and some nice overplayed performances from the cast, which makes this the more superior mob comedy of the time. Willis plays his character very casually, a stark contrast to Perry’s manic protagonist, which makes for a great comedic teaming.
