Richard Riddick (Diesel) is a wanted criminal who finds himself on the planet of New Mecca, where he discovers who put the bounty on his head while getting involved in defending the planet against attack from a race known as the Necromongers, a warrior army who are intent on invading every planet in the cosmos by converting their inhabitants into Necromongers themselves.

This movie had some big name stars, but even that couldn’t rescue it from desperately cashing in on the name Pitch Black. Diesel doesn’t seem to be playing the same sinister character from the original, and there’s a distinct lack of emotion ot character from any of the other cast. Don’t bother watching this unless you really like sci-fi or Vin Diesel.
