Director : Justin Chadwick
Running Time : 115 mins
Ann Boleyn (Portman) and her sister Mary (Johansson) are both forced at different points in their lives to start relationships with King Henry VIII (Bana) by their power hungry family, but both soon realise that getting involved in royal affairs can be a deadly and an emotionally disturbing endeavour.
This is an intriguing and thought provoking tale which gives a new spin on how the royals worked in the age of Henry VIII. Although Bana is an unusual choice to play the king, Johansson and Portman put in some great performances as the Boleyn sisters, both being about as different from each other as they possibly could be.
