Starring : Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, Peter Stormare, Lena Headey, Jonathan Price, Monica Bellucci
Director : Terry Gilliam
Running Time : 113 mins
Professional conmen Jacob (Ledger) and Wilhelm Grimm (Damon) claim to the public to be paranormal investigators, but they soon find themselves caught up in a mystery surrounding an apparently haunted forest, from which children have been disappearing so, with the aid of their guide Angelika (Headey), the two are forced to travel into the woods to try and find out what has been happening to the children.
In spite of having heard some pretty dire stories about this movie, I thought it was actually quite an enjoyable romp. Ledger and, surprisingly, Damon do some very convincing English accents as they trawl through Gilliam's obscure mindscape. Stormare puts in a nice comic turn as the comedy Frenchman, while Headey makes a good tough woman for the piece.
