Catch And Release (2006) 7/10

When her fiancé dies in a boating accident just before their wedding, Gray Wheeler (Garner) is shocked to discover that, not only did her fiancé have a whole heap of money she didn't know about, but he also had a kid he was paying maintenance to. When she goes looking for the boy and his mother, Maureen (Lewis), she discovers that the child is only four years old and must have been conceived while they were still together.

The premise for this movie is an interesting one, but unfortunately it isn't brilliantly executed. Garner manages to cope with both the comic and dramatic moments of the movie, but overall the transition for her between her dead fiancé and his best friend is a little on the fast side for my tastes. Worth watching if you like romantic comedy dramas, but only if you are huge on them.
