The Grinch (Carrey) lives on the top of Mount Crumpit, overlooking Whoville, and is the most miserable creature alive, so when he sees the Whos of Whoville preparing for their Christmas celebrations he decides to put an end to Christmas once and for all by spoiling the festivities for everyone.

This is a visually spectacular movie which gives Ron Howard the chance to create an entire world based on the popular Dr Seuss story. Carrey is fantastic as the Grinch, providing a visually stunning performance that really makes this movie, and the supporting cast are suitably cheery as the Whos, but be warned, some of the antics might actually frighten smaller children.
