A disparate group of locals from Los Angeles find their lives brought together by pure chance and coincidence, discovering for themselves the racist underbelly that lies beneath the otherwise glamorous facade of the city.

There are some lovely performances in this movie, and even a little humour from some of the scenes. The characters are believable, but none of them are really likeable which helped me as a viewer to not side with any particular character in any given confrontation. A performance that's particularly worthy of note comes from Terrence Howard, who manages to play both a put upon husband and an angry, wronged citizen without losing his way.
