Starring : Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker, Thomas Haden Church, Ellen Page
Director : Noam Murro
Running Time : 91 mins
Following an almost fatal seizure, widowed father of two Professor Lawrence Wetherhold (Quaid) is forced to ask his lazy adopted brother Chuck (Church) to stay with him and help drive him around for six months after he's banned from driving due to the seizure. The uncle soon develops an unusual relationship with Lawrence's talented daughter Vanessa (Page), whilst Lawrence himself starts up a relationship with his doctor, Janet Hartigan (Parker).
The performances in this movie aren't that impressive, with Page and Church putting in the best performances. Quaid and Parker had little or no chemistry, though it could be seen that this is intentional as they are both quite emotionally detached characters. This is worth watching, but it's not brilliant.
