Starring : Regina Reagan, John Vernon, Stuart Milligan, Jo Lee
Director : Satoshi Kon
Running Time : 84 mins
Aging actress Chiyoko Fujiyawa (Reagan) tells the story of her rise to fame, and the reasons behind her wanting to become an actress in the first place. As her story progresses, it becomes difficult to tell what really happened to her and what was simply the plot in one of her movies, but all through her career she continues her search for a nameless man who inspired her to act and who she finds herself in love with despite hardly knowing him.
This is a beautifully animated Japanese cartoon, which manages to take a very basic plot and make it into an epic masterpiece. The characters are likeable, especially the reporter and camera man who work their way into Chiyoko's memories along the way. This was very worth while watching and I highly recommend it to all.
