Welcome To Collinwood (2002) 6/10

Starring : William H Macy, Isaiah Washington, Sam Rockwell, Michael Jeter, Luis Guzman, Patricia Clarkson, George Clooney
Director : Anthony & Joe Russo
Running Time : 83 mins

Cosimo (Guzman) hears about the perfect theft by a fellow criminal in jail, but he has to rely on his girlfriend Rosalind (Clarkson) to find a fall guy to take the wrap for the crime, but although everyone she speaks to is unwilling to spend time in jail for the money, they all claim they know someone who will do it for them in return for a cut of the money.

This movie was okay, but it wasn’t the best crime comedy ever made, which surprised me because I usually enjoy anything with William H Macy. The movie plods along for quite a while, and considering how short it is it felt a whole lot longer. There are a few funny moments, but they are all quite predictable and seem almost dated to the extent that they wouldn’t have looked out of lace in an old Laurel & Hardy short, which might have been the intent.
