The Twins Effect (2003) 7/10

Starring : Ekin Cheng, Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung, Edison Chen, Mickey Hardt, Jackie Chan
Director : Dante Lam & Donnie Chen
Running Time : 102 mins

Vampire hunter Reeve (Cheng) is tasked with the job of hunting down and killing Duke Dekotes (Hardt), a vampire who wished to bring about a new age of darkness to the world. Reeve’s only help in this pursuit is a magical potion that can temporarily give him vampiric powers, and his little sister Helen (Choi), who a royal vampire named Kazaf (Chen) has taken a shine to, and his latest assistant from the Anti-Vampire League, Gypsy (Chung).

This was an enjoyable enough action romp, which would be enjoyed by people who enjoyed the Blade Trilogy of movies. Unlike Blade, there is far more character in this movie, not just with the heroes but with some of the so-called villains such as Kazaf. Definitely one for fans of Jackie Chan style martial arts and vampire flicks alike.
