Following the death of his girlfriend, Anderson (Biggs) goes into seclusion and refuses to date again. But when his best friend Ted (Weston) convinces him to move on, Anderson proposes to waitress Katie (Fisher) on a dare and she accepts. As their relationship develops, Anderson realises Katie only accepted his proposal because she didn’t want to get married to her boring long time boyfriend William (Diamantopoulos), and that’s when things get interesting.
This is both a sweet and a gross out movie, which mixes the two with expert ease. It’s not just the two main characters, Anderson and Katie, who are appealing – each character has their own story going on which makes for a comedy that never has a dull moment nad is enjoyable from start to end.
