Starring : Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alec Baldwin, Maggie Grace, James Naughton, Chris Carmack, Vanessa Branch
Director : Marc Klein
Running Time : 98 mins
Assistant book editor Brett Eisenberg (Gellar) starts a relationship with influential older man Archie Knox (Baldwin) who helps her in her attempts to further her career with her new boss, but soon the age gap between them, coupled with Archie’s alcoholism, start to get in the way of their relationship and things start to go wrong for the couple.
This wasn’t that bad a movie. I can see why it didn’t get a cinema release in the UK as it isn’t great, but it’s better than some of the rubbish Hollywood sometimes churns out. Gellar is likeable as Brett, and brings a distinct warmth to an otherwise plat and boring character, while Baldwin gives the one dimensional Archie a breath of life that’s much needed for the flat and lifeless script.
