27 Dresses (2008) 8/10

Starring : Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Edward Burns, Malin Akerman, Judy Greer
Director : Anne Fletcher
Running Time : 108 mins

Jane Nichols (Heigl) has an unusual habit – she tends to enjoy being bridesmaid to people she barely knows, but when her sister Tess (Akerman) gets engaged to Jane’s boss George (Burns), she finds herself in the difficult position of playing bridesmaid to the man she’s secretly loved for years.

This was actually a very entertaining chick flick. Heigl plays the role of Jane well, and Akerman once again proves she’s an actress to keep an eye on as Jane’s sister Tess There were however a few moments that it felt like the movie could have done without, like the dress changing montage, but overall the feel of the movie was fun and uplifting, with a nice turnaround at the end that did make me smile.
