Starring : Jackie Chan, Nicholas Tse, Daniel Wu, Charlene Choi
Director : Benny Chan
Running Time : 118 mins
Inspector Chan (Chan) finds himself the victim of a gang of cop haters who kill his entire police squad. Now a complete drunk, he teams up with mysterious detective Frank Cheng (Tse) to investigate the gang and try to catch them, little realising that the gang leader Joe (Wu) has links to the police himself.
This truly is an old school Jackie Chan movie, which relies on fighting and action rather than comedy to push the action forward. Chan’s character is a wholly serious man, with Tse providing most of the comic relief, and the plot itself, though predictable, is engaging and kept me interested throughout.
