George Lutz (Reynolds) buys a new home for his new ready made family, little realising that the home was the scene of a series of grizzly murders. As the days go by, George finds himself having hallucinations and terrible nightmares, and becomes increasingly paranoid about the behaviour of his wife Kathy and her three children.

As far as recent remake horrors go, this one was pretty good. All the jumpy moments were there and were executed expertly, and despite some over the top moments that didn’t seem necessary, there was enough substance to make this an enjoyable horror flick which should age well over the coming years.
