Starring : Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Simon Baker
Director : David Frankel
Running Time : 109 mins
Andy Sachs (Hathaway) takes a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the editor-in-chief of popular fashion magazine Runway, but she soon finds herself having to bow to every one of Miranda’s ridiculous whims just so she can last the distance and hopefully get a better, more journalistic position in the company.
This wasn’t a bad movie, and I did like the fact that Streep’s character wasn’t blown out of proportion and turned into a caricature. Hathaway’s performance was a little lifeless, but the overall effect of the movie worked for me and made for a mildly entertaining movie. Women will definitely like this flick, but guys might want to steer clear.
