Starring : Nicolas Cage, Maria Bello, Michael Pena, Jay Hernandez, Maggie Gyllenhaal
Director : Oliver Stone
Running Time : 130 mins
A group of police officers, lead by Office John McLoughlin (Cage), find themselves trapped in a lift shaft when they are sent into the World Trade Centre to help with the rescue. As the hours pass, their friends and family hear differing reports on their well being, ranging from them never having been in the building to their deaths.
This movie was okay, but I was expecting a lot more action. I should have known when I read that Oliver Stone was the director that the emphasis would be on the tragedy of the day rather than the events themselves. Cage is given about half an hour to try his best to work with the script before his character is trapped in the Centre, and the remaining 90 minutes was a little on the dry side to say the least.
