Political consultant Will Hayes (Reynolds) tells his young daughter Maya (Breslin) the story of how he met her mother in the hope of explaining his imminent divorce to her, but the story involves three relationships he had and Maya is challenged to guess which of the three grew up to give birth to her.
This movie was great. The premise felt original to me and the characters were warm and likeable and made for enjoyable viewing. My only gripe was that the father and daughter relationship could have been explored better during the telling of the story, but there were large segments where the director didn’t even go back to them from the narrative.
