Dead Man's Shoes (2004) 7/10

Richard (Considine) is a soldier who returns to his hometown to exact revenge on the group of villains who had abused and beaten his handicapped brother Anthony (Kebbell) by frightening them into never doing it again, but his actions soon lead to violence as he starts trying to kill them one by one.

This movie is odd, going from being very downbeat and overly violent to moments of actual comedy that did make me chuckle. Considine plays Richard well, appearing slightly maniacal in almost every scene, and the gang of thugs – who most of the focus is on throughout the movie – are so miss matched it’s laughable.
