Sonny Crockett (Farrell) and Ricardo Tubbs (Foxx) work for the Vice department in Miami, and are assigned to go undercover as drug smugglers in the hope of catching the ring leaders, but they find their worlds turned upside down when Crockett falls for Isabella (Gong), a banker for one of the crime bosses, and Tubbs’ girlfriend Trudy (Harris) is kidnapped and held hostage.

The main problem with this movie is that the action didn’t really get going until the last 5 or 10 minutes. Up until then it was pretty much just exposition throughout the movie. Farrell and Foxx are good enough in the lead roles, but they don’t really bring any personality to the parts, which makes for a rather stale action movie which otherwise could have been pretty good.
