Starring : Sacha Baron Cohen, Michael Gambon, Charles Dance, Kellie Bright, Martin Freeman, Rhona Mitra
Director : Mark Mylod
Running Time : 88 mins
Ali G (Cohen) is tricked by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, David Carlton (Dance), into making the Prime Minister (Gambon) look bad, but the plot backfires when Ali is seen by the public as the voice of youth for the 21st Century.
This movie was embarrassing more than anything, with very little in the way of actual funny moments throughout, relying more on the one silly idea of Ali G helping the Prime Minister and running with it for 90 minutes. Fans of Borat who haven’t seen this will probably cringe when they see this poor offering, but huge fans of Ali G will no doubt find some redeeming features in this movie.
