Shrek The Third (2007) 7/10

Starring : Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Julie Andrews, Antonio Banderas, John Cleese, Rupert Everett, Justin Timberlake, Eric Idle
Director : Chris Miller & Raman Hui
Running Time : 93 mins

When King Harold (Cleese) becomes ill and dies, his last wish is for Shrek (Myers) to take over the throne as king of Far Far Away. Shrek is reluctant to do this, so goes in search of the king’s only living male relative, Arthur Pendragon (Timberlake) but, while he’s away, Prince Charming (Everett) attacks the kingdom with a host of evil fairytale characters in tow.

Although not quite as good as the first two instalments, this is still a very entertaining children’s movie. There wasn’t enough donkey time for my liking, which was a shame, but overall this still had the markings of a superb movie, with lots of celebrity guest voices to boot.
