The Pumpkin Karver (2006) 5/10

A young man named Jonathan Starks (Zara) mistakenly kills his sister’s boyfriend on Halloween, believing he is trying to kill her. A year later he goes to a party in the desert with his sister, Lynn (Weber), and as all the party guests start to die one by one, Jonathan begins to think that his victim may have come back from the dead!

Apparently based on a true story, this has been given the Hollywood treatment but on a shoestring budget. The acting is hammy, but that doesn’t really matter in this sort of film. The opening was actually quite original, and I really thought it was going to be really good, but it just went downhill from there, and the ending was beyond belief!
