Jamal Walker (Lawrence) is a low paid worker at a theme park called Medieval World, but one day he falls into the moat at the park and finds himself sent back in time to the year 1328 where he is accused of being part of a French plot to kill the king of England.
Although this wasn’t the worst film I’ve ever seen – not by a long shot – this was still not a particularly original piece, with Disney having made similar films on more than one occasion. Lawrence is capable enough in the lead role, but the supporting cast don’t seem to have their heart set on performing to the best of their abilities. I’d only recommend this to people who are big Martin Lawrence fans, everyone else, steer clear.
