Eighties teenager Donnie Darko (Gyllenhaal) narrowly escapes being killed when a plane engine falls from the sky straight through his bedroom. Following the accident, he is informed by a six-foot bunny that only he can see that the world will end in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds!
This is an incredibly weird film, filled with strange concepts that ultimately lead to a highly bizarre and surreal conclusion. Despite this fact, the movies content is genuinely interesting, almost tricking people into thinking this movie is not a fantasy piece when it clearly is.
