Following 16 years of incarceration, Michael Myers (Mane) escapes from Smith's Grove Sanitarium and heads back to his home town of Haddonfield with murder in mind, hotly pursued by his doctor, Sam Loomis (McDowell), who is the only person who knows the true extent of Myers’ evil nature…

The major problem I have with this sort-of remake of the 1978 movie is that the character of Michael Myers seems to me to be much more sympathetic. The workers he kills in the mental institution were raping one of the inmates, so they deserved to die, and from past experience we really shouldn’t be siding with Myers at any point!
