Neo (Reeves) has to help protect Zion from being attacked by a quarter of a million machine sentinels, who are heading there to destroy the rebels. On top of this, Agent Smith (Weaving) has escaped deletion and has returned even more powerful than before, and with a few new tricks up his sleeve.

I really didn’t like this movie, it just felt like the makers hadn’t put any proper thought into it and were just regurgitating the plot devices from the first film whilst throwing in a few more fight scenes and confusing elements to keep hardcore fans interested in the ongoing debate about whatever the hell The Matrix is supposed to be about!
