The Sweetest Thing (2002) 7/10

Christina Walters (Diaz) is something of a player, using men for her own sexual needs but never wanting to settle down. That is until she meets Peter Donahue (Jane) on a night out with her girlfriends. When she discovers that he has left town, her friends Courtney (Applegate) and Jane (Blair) convince her to go on a road trip to Peter’s brother’s wedding.

Although this is quite the chick flick, it is much more entertaining than it seemed from the trailers. The role reversal premise is simple yet affective, and the slapstick comedy is spot on.
