Bruce Nolan (Carrey) thinks that everything that can go wrong in his life will go wrong! In his job as a TV reporter he only gets the worst stories to cover, so when he gets passed over for promotion he gets furious and calls down the wrath of God! God arrives in the form of Morgan Freeman and offers Bruce the opportunity to use God’s own powers to improve his life. Bruce agrees, not realising that with God’s powers also comes God’s responsibilities!

A wonderful little morality tale, combined with a romantic comedy, this movie tells us the viewer that we should be happy with what we have and not crave power and influence because it will only lead to misery and loneliness.
