Starring : Jack Black, Joan Cusack, Mike White, Sarah Silverman
Director : Richard Linklater
Running Time : 105 mins
Dewey Finn (Black) is a no-hoper with no job, no qualifications, and a mountain of debt. When he takes a call for his school-teacher housemate, Ned Schneebly (White), Dewey takes on his identity and takes the school job. When he gets there, he realises he doesn’t know how to teach, so he falls back on the only thing he knows anything about – rock music!
This was a great film, even the kids in it weren’t annoying, and that’s quite the achievement! There were plenty of laughs to go around, and despite Black’s character being essentially one dimensional, he never gets boring throughout.
