The Island (2005) 5/10

Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson play clones in a facility designed to breed fresh body parts for the incredibly wealthy. They are lead to believe that they are contestants in a lottery, in which the winner gets to go to the mysterious Island. Unfortunately what really happenes is they get taken away for spare parts, and when they discover this they decide to escape into the real world and expose the hypocrisy of the situation.

Now, Michael Bay isn't the finest director ever; Bad Boys was good, but this was pretty poor. I found humour where I honestly believe there was none intended, and the effect set pieces tended to make little or no sense but, for making me laugh, this did gain a little more credit than it really should.
