Starring : Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Fry, Stephen Rea
Director : James McTeigue
Running Time : 128 mins
I'm not a fan of the Wachowski Brothers, who wrote this and The Matrix, and everything by Alan Moore that gets translated to the screen gets butchered something rotten. Moore even refused to put his name to this film, or to take any money for it, giving all the money to the artists of the comic, David Lloyd. Based on this, I was expecting something on a par with The Matrix Reloaded, but this was pretty damn good. Weaving's voice alone acts better than anyone in any of the other Wachowski movies, and Portman is belieavably swayed in her part, and I always like a slightly downbeat ending.
