Selene (Beckinsale) is a Vampire who becomes involved in an ancient battle and is assigned the task of hunting down and killing the last of the Lycans, a werewolf race. In her travels she uncovers a sinister plot of the Lycans to overthrow the Vampire race, and finds herself falling in love with Michael (Speedman), a man who is slowly becoming a Lycan himself!

It's a miracle that this film ever got a sequel made from it, it was just so boring and slow! Beckinsale and Speedman were very boring to watch act on screen, and even Bill Nighy didn't seem his usual self. Not worth watching unless you really like vampire movies!
