Lost In Translation (2003) 8/10

Bob Harris (Murray) travels to Japan to film a whiskey commercial and meets Charlotte (Johansson), the wife of a visiting photographer. Together they explore life in Japan, and grow ever closer to each other as their seperate worlds start to crumble around them.

This was a surprisingly enjoyable film, which gives both Murray and Johannsson a chance to shine without the need of ridiculous scripts or special effects. A good old fashioned film where the focus is on character and inner turmoil rather than action and plot.
