The Road To El Dorado (2000) 8/10

Starring : Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh, Rosie Perez, Armand Assante, Edward James Olmos
Director : Eric 'Bibo' Bergeron & Don Paul
Running Time : 85 mins

Professional 16th Century con men Miguel (Branagh) and Tulio (Kline) accidentally come across El Dorado, the lost city of gold, and decide to pass themselves off as Gods in a bid to get the locals to help them bring all the gold back to Spain, but evil High Priest Tzekel-Kan (Assante) has other ideas on what to do with the con men and the gold.

Children and grownups alike will enjoy this movie, which Disney quickly imitated with their Atlantis movie a few years later. The animation is beautiful and could easily put Disney to shame even on their best day. Kline and Branagh bring their characters to life with a mixture of cunning and cowardice, and the fast paced action will keep everyone engrossed from start to finish
