Charlie's Angels (2000) 6/10

A trio of female private investigators are sent on a mission by their boss to help rescue a kidnapped software engineer, which in turn leads them to a criminal plot to use his valuable software and it's voice recognition systems to overtake every multimillion dollar conglomerate in the world.

This was a pretty weak concept which allowed music video director McG to make a 90 minute music video. The presence of the three leading ladies does little to improve the lacklustre story line, and the Matrix style visuals coupled with Mission Impossible style sequences do nothing to further the plot. Thankfully Bill Murray brings some comedy to this movie, but sadly he was no where to be seen by the time the sequel went into production.
