Unsuccesful director Bobby Bowfinger (Martin) wants the opportunity to make a classic movie, but he can't convince Hollywood superstar Kit Ramsey (Murphy) to star in the movie. So, with the help of a motley crew of terrible actors, bad film makers and Kit's nerdy brother Jiff (Murphy), Bowfinger begins to follow Kit around, filming him secretly and getting the cast to perform with him without his knowledge.

This is probably the last great movie by Steve Martin or Eddie Murphy. They are truly in their element here, with Martin playing the manipulative schemer and Murphy his unwitting sidekick. There are some great comedy moments that, once seen, are completely unforgettable, and Frank Oz brings his unique comic timing to the fore, accomplishing a comedy masterpiece that everyone will enjoy.
