Scooby-Doo (2002) 7/10

Starring : Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini, Rowan Atkinson, Isla Fisher
Director : Raja Gosnell
Running Time : 87 mins

Mystery Inc. are reunited after years of separation when they all receive invites to visit Spooky Island. When they arrive, having not realised their old friends would be there, they meet the owner, Emile Mondavarious (Atkinson), who has summoned them because he is having trouble with what he believes are real spooks, but when they discover the true criminal mind behind things, they realise how much trouble they could be in!

Aside from on Scooby-Doo himself, the special effects in this movie were pretty weak. It was nice to see the Scooby Gang in live action, with Shaggy (Lillard) and Velma (Cardellini) being especially apt. Lots of fun for the kids, but most adults will probably want to steer clear, although I still enjoyed it.
