Starring : Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, Kelly Macdonald, Gillian Anderson, Naomie Harris
Director : Michael Winterbottom
Running Time : 92 mins
Two actors (Coogan & Brydon) attempt to make a film based on Laurence Sterne’s novel "The Life And Opinions Of Tristram Shandy". As the filming progresses, it becomes more and more obvious that there are going to be immense difficulties in getting the production finished.
This was one of those films where you really have to be wanting to enjoy it from the very start. Although it had it’s silly moments, this would not be enjoyed by someone who liked Coogan in The Parole Officer or Around The World In 80 Days. It’s a clever idea, there just wasn’t enough substance for my liking.
