Detective James Carter (Tucker) goes on holiday to Hong Kong and visits his friend Chief Inspector Lee (Chan), but when Carter arrives he finds that Lee is more interested in trying to catch some Triads who killed two men at the American Embassy. Whilst investigating, they stumble across an international counterfeiting racket, and things become very dangerous for the pair.

Although not as good as the original, this is still a pretty decent buddy-cop movie, taking the ideas from the first movie and turning them around so that Tucker is the foreigner and Chan is the local cop.
