Everett Stone (Mulroney) takes his uptight workaholic girlfriend Meridith Morton (Parker) to his family home for Christmas, but everyone takes an instant disliking to her as soon as she shows up! Not wanting to spend Christmas in isolation, she invites her sister Julie (Danes) to come and visit, but things get complicated when Everett finds himself attracted to Julie!

This was a very likeable movie, with a lot of moments where you really wish you were there to tell some of the characters to just stop talking. Parker plays the uptight girlfriend very well, and shows that she isn’t just limited to TV anymore, and the ensemble cast as a whole work beautifully together throughout the entire movie.
