The Medallion (2003) 5/10

Starring : Jackie Chan, Lee Evans, Claire Forlani, Julian Sands, John Rhys-Davies
Director : Gordon Chan
Running Time : 85 mins

Hong Kong detective Eddie Chang (Chan) is involved in a near fatal accident involving a strange medallion and discovers that he is now possessed with superhuman powers. He then enlists the help of British Interpol agent Nicole James (Forlani) to try to find out the secret of the medallion and finds himself fighting against the evil Snakehead (Sands) who wants to use the artifacts magical powers for his own wicked ends.

This movie was really pretty bad enough before someone had the smart idea of throwing Lee Evans in for good measure. The plot was weak and drifted about the place with no real direction, and it didn’t keep me as engrossed as I hoped. Still, Jackie Chan’s martial arts skills are pretty good here, though underused, and Claire Forlani looks hot!
