Following an assassination attempt at her wedding and a lengthy period in a coma, the woman known simply as The Bride (Thurman) decides to take revenge against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad who were responsible for her fiancées death, and primarily wants to kill the leader of the squad, Bill (Carradine).

This was an excellent action movie, with some great fight scenes which have clearly been well thought out by Tarantino. He is definitely back on form with this first instalment but, sadly, the form doesn’t continue into Volume Two.
