John Lyshitski (Shepard) blames his life of going in and out of prison on the judge who sent him to juvie when he was 8. He vows revenge on the judge, only to discover that he dies three days before he was released from prison. So he comes up with the plan to ruin the life of the judges only son and heir, Nelson Biederman IV (Arnett), by getting him sent to prison where he can then set about ruining his life and turning him into a career criminal. Unfortunately, things don’t go to plan…
I really enjoyed this film. I expected it to be boring and contrived but actually found myself laughing out loud in parts. Dax Shepard, who isn’t me favourite actor, has really grown in films like this and Employee Of The Month, and Chi McBride is genuinely scary as Barry.
