An incurable disease is accidentally let out into the general public by a group of animal rights activists, and people begin to take on zombie-like traits and driving them to murder. Those who have survived the infection try to excape from London, where the biggest outbreak took place, but find themselves in danger from both the infected and the other survivors.
This is a very effective movie, taking the idea of a mass plague and looking at the wide range of reactions there might be from the survivors. We are given a nice range of perspectives from the body of characters, both positive and negative, and the realisation that the most dangerous enemy may not be the infected is slightly chilling.
