Once Upon A Time In Mexico (2003) 6/10

The mysterious and nameless El Mariachi (Banderas) returns in this third instalment, now living in isolation and wanting to lead a peaceful life. Unfortunately for him, ee is forced out of hiding when corrupt CIA Agent Sands (Depp) recruits him in order to prevent an assassination plot against the president of Mexico, which has been conceived by the evil cartel kingpin Barrillo (Dafoe).

Although nowhere near as good as Desperado, this was still quite an enjoyable film, Depp is, as always, very good, and Hayek looks incredibly sexy. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough substance to the movie, and the idea of another sequel doesn’t sound very palletable to me.
