Freddy Krueger (Englund) has become incredibly weakened since he was killed by his daughter, and his reliance upon haunting people’s nightmares is proving less than fruitful as the parents of Elm Street have been giving their children pills to surpress their dreams. So he decides to enlist the help of Jason Voorhees (Kirzinger), who goes on a killing spree in order to bring fear back to his home town. But when Jason becomes too good at his job, Freddy decides that he has to be stopped!

For what it is, this is an enjoyable horror romp. Englund’s Freddy seems to have been camped up considerably since the first movie, but is still an effective villain, whilst Kirzinger’s Jason remains intimidating.
